His operational prowess extends across various organizations, with a breadth of experience that spans the globe, predominantly international in nature. Brad's multifaceted expertise encompasses financial acumen and technical proficiency in diverse disciplines, including facilities engineering, electrical engineering, controls engineering, production engineering, geosciences, and IT.

    Tony Bessey

    Tony and Exergy share common ground as disruptors of conventionality, unafraid to embrace forward-thinking strategies. With over two decades of experience in delivering intricate oil and gas transformations across North America, Tony's journey began at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He subsequently led the corporate integration of Albian into Royal Dutch Shell's portfolio. In his role as a Business Process Excellence leader, he orchestrated a succession of large-scale digital transformations. After 12 years with Shell, Tony established a consulting practice that culminated in an eight-year strategic partnership with Suncor. During this period, Tony not only oversaw the technology implementation for the Fort Hills Oilsands project but also empowered high-performing teams to deliver substantial value during the Suncor Syncrude integration. Tony's contributions extended to his five-year service on the Board of the Shell Employee's Credit Union, supporting its rebranding as the Spark Credit Union.

Armed with an Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Master of Science in Accountancy degree from the University of Notre Dame, Sara brings a strategic and data-driven approach to her work, fostering a narrative where fiscal acumen and operational excellence seamlessly converge.

With 15 years of experience in mining, extraction, upgrading, tailings, and in-situ operations, Tanner directs his focus toward research and development initiatives aimed at refining processes and products that drive industry prosperity. Before joining Exergy in 2018, Tanner played a pivotal role in supporting project and technology development at Suncor Energy. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from Carleton University, Tanner proudly upholds membership in APEGA.

Mark's academic foundation comprises a Bachelor of Engineering and a Technology Diploma (Mechanical) from Lakehead University and SAIT, along with active membership in APEGA.

Leveraging more than 20 years of experience in developing complex industrial applications and energy systems, Nermine's multidisciplinary expertise in project execution empowers Exergy's clients to uncover optimal solutions and realize timely progress. Nermine holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, MEng in Mechatronics, and MSc in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary, and is a professional member of APEGA.

Throughout her career, Marianna has been dedicated to the innovation ecosystem, committing herself to helping clients develop decarbonization strategies, advance technology de-risking, accelerate innovations’ path to deployment, and explore the art of the possible in search of real solutions to our planet's most pressing challenges. Her track record includes the establishment of trusted partnerships with academia, innovators, government entities, and major corporations, spearheading multi-million-dollar projects spanning various Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). Driven by curiosity and an unwavering commitment to lifelong learning, Marianna played a pivotal role in driving groundbreaking clean tech innovation while serving as Technology Development Lead for one of Canada's largest integrated energy companies. Marianna holds a Bachelor of Chemistry, uniquely combined with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, both from the University of Calgary.

Armed with a robust business acumen and a knack for navigating intricate transactions, Kerri has earned recognition for her charitable initiatives and contributions to the clean technology sector. Notable accolades include being honored as the 2018 Business in Calgary Leader and part of the Top 40 Under 40, Class of 2019. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Heavy Oil Association (CHOA), a testament to her ongoing dedication to industry advancement.

    Carter Will

    Driven by a passion for mechanical design and manufacturing problem solving, Carter leads Exergy’s Advanced Manufacturing Business Development group. Carter has 27 years of mechanical design, manufacturing, business development, and corporate leadership experience in a variety of industries, but most notably serving Western Canadian upstream energy OEMs. Carter’s experience covers numerous manufacturing processes from additive manufacturing, to forming and fabrication, multi-axis CNC machining, casting, forging, extrusion, molding, stamping, and others. Carter Has expertise in business development, contract negotiation, design for manufacturability, CAD/CAM/CAE/ERP software, capital equipment evaluation and commissioning, engineering and manufacturing process design and implementation, QMS, lean and 5S implementation, supply chain management, operations management, and corporate leadership. Carter is a member in good standing with APEGA.
